This study tested whether the amino acid arginine could prevent blood vessel damage caused by the NSAID painkiller celecoxib. 44 healthy men took either arginine or a placebo alongside celecoxib for 7 days. Researchers measured changes in blood vessel function and stiffness to see if arginine offered protection.
