Can a robot pancreas protect diabetic hearts?
NCT ID NCT05653518
Summary
This study is testing whether using an artificial pancreas system for 12 weeks can improve heart and blood vessel health in adults with type 1 diabetes. The artificial pancreas combines an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor to automatically manage blood sugar. Researchers will compare 40 participants using this technology against others using their standard care to see if better blood sugar control reduces inflammation and improves cardiovascular function.
