New spinal implant aims to fix back pain without fusion

Summary
This study is testing a new artificial disc implant designed to reduce chronic low back pain caused by worn-out spinal discs. The implant replaces the damaged cushion inside the spine while aiming to preserve normal back movement, unlike traditional fusion surgery that stiffens the spine. Researchers will track 72 patients to see if the device safely reduces pain and disability over time.
