Arthritis patients test home injection to replace hospital infusions

NCT ID NCT05424926

Summary

This study looked at switching patients with rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, or psoriatic arthritis from receiving their infliximab medication through an intravenous (IV) infusion at a clinic to giving themselves a subcutaneous (SC) injection at home. The main goal was to see how many patients agreed to switch and then continued using the self-injected version for at least six months. Researchers also monitored disease activity and safety to see if the new method worked as well as the old one.
