First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether artesunate, a drug used for malaria, is safe for people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a condition of high blood pressure in the lungs. Fifteen adults with PAH will take daily artesunate pills for 20 weeks. The main goal is to check for side effects, not to measure how well it works.
