New clip could steady blood pressure readings after bypass surgery
NCT ID NCT07035756
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a newly designed device to hold arterial pressure monitoring lines in place after coronary artery bypass surgery. The goal is to see if it keeps readings more accurate and stable than standard tape, especially when patients move. Sixty adults undergoing bypass surgery will be enrolled, and their blood pressure measurements will be tracked for 48 hours after surgery.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Arterial Pressure Monitoring Set Fixation Device
What this could lead to
If effective, this device could make blood pressure monitoring more reliable and comfortable for patients recovering from heart surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with 60 participants, so results may not apply to all patients. The device may not significantly outperform standard tape fixation.
