First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study is for adults in cardiogenic shock who need a temporary heart pump called an intra-aortic balloon pump. Researchers want to see if the stiffness of a person's arteries affects how well the pump works. They will measure blood flow and other vital signs before and after the pump is placed. The goal is to learn which patients benefit most, helping doctors make better treatment decisions in the future.
