First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study follows 7,500 adults over 12 to 16 years to see how their arteries change with age and how that affects their risk of heart disease and stroke. Researchers will use advanced ultrasound to measure artery stiffness and thickness. No treatments or medications are given—the goal is simply to learn more about what makes arteries age faster and how to predict future heart problems.
