Coloring your way to calm: ER study tests art therapy for pain and anxiety

Summary

This study looks at whether coloring can help adults feel less pain and anxiety while they wait in the emergency room. About 168 people with moderate pain or anxiety will be given nature or geometric coloring sheets to use. Researchers will measure changes in their self-reported pain and anxiety scores before and after the activity.
