First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether smelling lavender-neroli oil or listening to familiar cartoon music could help children feel less anxious during a dental numbing shot. 108 children aged 6-11 were split into four groups: aromatherapy only, music only, both, or a placebo mask. The results showed that these simple, pleasant distractions can make dental visits easier for kids.
