Can a daily whiff of scent ease the distress of early dementia?
NCT ID NCT07234357
Summary
This study is testing whether using a diffuser with a special essential oil blend twice a day for six months can help reduce anxiety, depression, and other difficult symptoms in people with early memory loss or mild dementia. It also aims to see if this approach can lower stress for their caregivers. Researchers will enroll 200 patient-caregiver pairs to see if people are willing to stick with the daily aromatherapy routine and if it shows any benefit.
