Could a simple sleeve help kids with cerebral palsy use their arms better?

NCT ID NCT02086214

Summary

This study tested whether wearing a special, tight-fitting sleeve on the arm for six months could help children with cerebral palsy use their affected hand and arm more effectively. Researchers enrolled 101 children aged 5 to 10 years old to see if the sleeve improved their ability to perform tasks, their arm skills, and their overall quality of life. The goal was to see if this non-invasive pressure therapy, borrowed from burn treatment, could make a meaningful difference in daily function.
