Summary

This study tests a special absorbable mesh that releases antibacterial agents to help prevent infections in women undergoing two-stage breast reconstruction after mastectomy. About 702 women aged 22 and older will be randomly assigned to receive either standard reconstruction or reconstruction with this new mesh. The main goal is to see if the mesh reduces local complications like infection.
