Summary
This early study is testing whether giving patients the amino acid arginine alongside standard whole-brain radiation therapy is safe and might make the radiation work better against cancer that has spread to the brain. Researchers are comparing whether taking arginine by mouth or through an IV is more effective at getting it into the bloodstream. The study involves 10 patients with brain metastases to find the best way to give the supplement.
