Scientists hunt for hidden clues in ARDS Patients' blood and mucus
NCT ID NCT07380997
Summary
This study aims to find patterns in the blood and lung fluid of 411 adults with severe lung failure (ARDS) who are on breathing machines. Researchers will analyze tiny organisms, chemicals, and genes to see which patterns are linked to how patients respond to the ventilator and whether they survive. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help doctors personalize ventilator settings and improve care, but this study itself does not test any new treatments.
