First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested whether an augmented reality (AR) headset could help 17 adults with chronic low back pain and fear of movement. Participants did bending exercises while the AR showed them moving further than they actually were, aiming to reduce fear and increase motion. The study checked for safety, comfort, and whether the visual trick helped improve range of motion.
