Video game distraction tested to ease Kids' needle pain in ER

NCT ID NCT06795126

Summary

This study is testing whether a special augmented reality game, called Little NIRVANA, can help reduce pain and anxiety for young children (ages 2-8) when they need an IV placed in the emergency room. Children will be randomly assigned to either play the game during the procedure or receive standard care. The main goal is to see if using the game is a practical and helpful way to make this common hospital experience easier for kids.
