New heart shunt device aims to ease symptoms of heart failure

Summary
This study tests a device called the Edwards APTURE shunt, which is placed in the heart to help reduce pressure and improve symptoms in people with heart failure. About 100 participants will be randomly assigned to receive the shunt or a sham procedure. The goal is to see if the device safely improves exercise capacity and quality of life.
