Could a psoriasis drug curb alcohol cravings?

Summary

This study is testing if apremilast, a medication already used for psoriasis, can help people with alcohol use disorder drink less. Researchers will give 120 adults either a 60mg or 90mg daily dose of the drug or a placebo pill and measure their alcohol consumption in lab sessions and over a month. The goal is to see if the medication can help control the urge to drink and reduce alcohol use.
