Smartphone app aims to guide young hearts into adulthood
NCT ID NCT04463446
Summary
This study tested two ways to help teenagers with congenital heart disease prepare to manage their own health as they move from pediatric to adult healthcare. Researchers compared an 18-month educational smartphone app against a single, in-person session with a clinic nurse. The goal was to see which method better improved the teens' knowledge, confidence, and readiness to handle their own care.
