Can a sleep app ease the pain? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT05572697

Summary

This study tested whether adding a smartphone app that delivers cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) to a standard 4-week inpatient rehabilitation program helps people who have both chronic pain and sleep problems. 105 participants with musculoskeletal pain and insomnia were randomly assigned to receive either the rehabilitation program alone or the program plus the sleep app. The main goal was to see if the app improved sleep quality more than the standard rehab program.
