Phone app aims to keep breast cancer patients on track

NCT ID NCT05921331

Summary

This study tested whether a special mobile phone app could help women with early breast cancer follow their prescribed treatment plans more closely and feel better during recovery. Researchers randomly assigned 540 patients to either use the app, which provided reminders, educational information, and a way to message their medical team, or to receive standard follow-up care only. The main goal was to see if the app improved how well patients stuck to their treatment over one year and affected their quality of life.
