First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether community pharmacists can help older adults (over 60) with atrial fibrillation (AFib) take the correct blood-thinning medication to prevent strokes. Fourteen participants received pharmacist-led management for 3 months, with a 9-month follow-up. The goal was to see if this approach improves medication use and safety.
