First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving extra oxygen through a small tube in the nose during anesthesia can prevent dangerously low oxygen levels in children having their tonsils and adenoids removed. The researchers measured oxygen levels in 140 children aged 3 to 10 years. The goal was to find a better way to keep children safe while they are not breathing on their own during surgery.
