First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether a pill (apixaban) is a safe and easier alternative to daily shots (enoxaparin) for preventing blood clots after head and neck cancer surgery. About 76 adults will take one of the two medicines for 10 days after surgery. Researchers will check for side effects, how well patients follow the treatment, and how satisfied they are with their medicine.
