NCT ID NCT06474182

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at how the blood thinner apixaban affects blood clotting in two groups: people newly diagnosed with multiple myeloma and people recovering from total knee replacement surgery. Both groups are at high risk for dangerous blood clots. By comparing how the drug works in each group, researchers hope to improve clot prevention strategies for myeloma patients. The study involves 32 participants and measures clotting activity in the blood.
