New study aims to find the best way to remove colorectal tumors
NCT ID NCT07615036
First seen May 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares two surgical methods for removing colorectal cancer tissue: one that takes the tissue out through a natural opening (like the anus) and one that makes a small cut in the belly. The goal is to see which method leads to fewer hernias at the surgery site within two years. About 800 adults having planned colorectal surgery will take part, and their recovery and quality of life will be tracked.
