First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tracks 100 adults who had a heart attack to see how many develop anxiety or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) later on. Researchers want to understand if early feelings of fear, stress, and pain during the heart attack raise the risk of long-term mental health problems. Participants are followed over time to check for PTSD symptoms.
