Doctors review past cases to find better ways to fight deadly infections

NCT ID NCT07465003

Summary

This study aims to understand how well current treatments work for people with liver cirrhosis who develop a life-threatening bloodstream infection called sepsis. Researchers will look back at the medical records of 1,600 patients to see which treatment approaches were linked to better survival after 28 days. The goal is to gather knowledge to help guide future care, not to test a new drug or treatment.
