Gene-Guided antifungal strategy aims to shield leukemia patients from deadly molds

Summary
This study tests whether using a person's genetic risk can better prevent serious mold infections in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) receiving chemotherapy. About 410 adults will be randomly assigned to different antifungal prevention plans based on their genetic profile. The goal is to see if this personalized approach reduces infections and improves safety.
