First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a person's genetic risk for mold infections can help doctors choose the right antifungal medicine for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) receiving chemotherapy. About 410 adults with AML will be randomly assigned to get either standard or genetically-guided antifungal prevention. The goal is to see if the genetic approach reduces serious mold infections.
