Doctors test which antibiotic combo spares kidneys
NCT ID NCT06954129
Summary
This study aims to find out if two standard antibiotic combinations used to treat serious infections in the hospital carry different risks of kidney injury. Researchers will enroll 750 adult patients and compare kidney health using newer, more sensitive tests over the first five days of treatment. The goal is to gather better evidence to help doctors choose the safest antibiotic regimen for each patient.
