Blood test sheds light on hidden clotting disorder

NCT ID NCT06373926

First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at a protein called annexin A2 on the surface of certain white blood cells (monocytes) in people with antiphospholipid syndrome, a condition that raises the risk of blood clots and pregnancy complications. Researchers will compare the amount of this protein between patients and healthy volunteers to see if lower levels are linked to the disease. No treatments or drugs are tested — the goal is simply to learn more about what causes the condition.
