Scientists hunt for genetic clues to spinal arthritis severity

NCT ID NCT00056719

Summary

This study aimed to understand how a person's genes might influence how severe their ankylosing spondylitis becomes over time. Researchers followed about 300 adults with this spinal arthritis for five years, checking their symptoms and mobility every six months. The goal was to identify specific genes linked to worse disease outcomes to better understand how the condition progresses.
