Doctors test if ultrasound scans can predict ankle sprain recovery
NCT ID NCT06856889
Summary
This small, completed study looked at whether performing a routine ultrasound scan during a follow-up visit for an ankle sprain (3-6 days after injury) could help predict how well patients recover. Researchers compared patients' quality of life and ability to do sports 3 months later. The goal was to see if this extra scan provides useful information for managing common ankle injuries.
