First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at whether getting an ultrasound a few days after an ankle sprain helps doctors predict how well a person will recover after 3 months. Researchers followed 13 people who had a sprain and had an ultrasound during a follow-up visit. The goal was to see if the ultrasound results were linked to better ankle function and quality of life later on.
