Teen ankle sprain study: which rehab method wins – PRICE or PEACE and LOVE?
NCT ID NCT07287020
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at 76 teenagers with a first-time ankle sprain to compare two recovery plans: the traditional PRICE method (rest, ice, compression, elevation, plus anti-inflammatory drugs) and the newer PEACE and LOVE approach (which avoids anti-inflammatives and focuses on movement and exercise). Researchers measured ankle strength and balance over 12-15 weeks to see which group recovered better. The goal was to find the best way to help teens get back to normal activities.
