Summary
This study looked at whether watching parrots, fish, or turtles could reduce pain and anxiety when inserting a needle into a port catheter in 120 palliative care patients. Participants rated their pain and anxiety before and after the animal therapy. The goal was to find a simple, drug-free way to make this common procedure more comfortable.
