Can a natural hormone turn back the clock on aging hearts?
NCT ID NCT05301192
Summary
This early-stage study aims to understand if a hormone called angiotensin-(1-7) can improve heart and blood vessel health in healthy older adults. Researchers will give 26 participants aged 65-80 an intravenous infusion of the hormone or a placebo saline solution and measure effects on nerve activity, blood pressure, and blood vessel function. The goal is to learn more about how aging affects the cardiovascular system and identify potential new targets for future treatments.
