Dialysis patients: which imaging technique works best for blocked access?

NCT ID NCT02056704

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 66 adults with blocked dialysis grafts or fistulas to see if adding an extra imaging tool (IVUS) to standard angiography helps doctors better understand the blockage. The goal was to compare how well each method measures the narrowing and size of the blood vessel. The study did not test a new treatment, but rather aimed to improve how blockages are assessed.
