Heart stent Follow-Up study: could a routine scan save lives?
NCT ID NCT04604197
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether getting an angiogram (a special X-ray of the heart arteries) 6 months after a stent procedure in the left main coronary artery can lower the risk of death, heart attack, or stroke over the next 3 years. About 400 adults aged 18-85 who received a specific type of stent are being followed. The goal is to see if this routine check-up helps catch problems early and improve long-term outcomes.
