Scientists track Kids' response to surgery drugs

NCT ID NCT03427736

Summary

This study aims to better understand how children and teenagers break down common anesthesia and pain medications like ketamine and morphine. Researchers will observe 460 participants under 18 who are already receiving these drugs as part of their standard medical care. By taking a few extra blood samples, the team hopes to learn how kids process these drugs to improve future dosing and safety.
