Which anesthesia is safer for your brain during tumor surgery?

NCT ID NCT06779890

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two common anesthesia methods—inhaled gases (sevoflurane or desflurane) versus intravenous propofol—in 84 adults having brain tumor surgery. Researchers will measure brain oxygen levels, swelling, and thinking skills after surgery to see which approach better protects the brain. The goal is to guide safer anesthesia choices for future patients.
