First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at two common types of anesthesia used during brain tumor surgery: inhaled gas (sevoflurane or desflurane) versus intravenous propofol. The goal is to see which one better maintains brain oxygen levels and reduces swelling after surgery. About 84 adults having elective brain tumor removal will take part, and their brain function will be tested before and after the procedure.
