Could your breath help doctors keep you asleep during surgery?

NCT ID NCT07272044

Summary

This study is testing a new method to help doctors control how deeply a patient is asleep during surgery. Researchers will measure the levels of anesthetic drugs in a patient's exhaled breath in real-time and see how well this matches the patient's brain activity. The goal is to see if this breath-monitoring method could be a useful tool for managing anesthesia, especially for patients who can't use standard brain monitors.
