Could a simple blood test predict IBD hospitalizations?

NCT ID NCT07387588

Summary

This study aims to see if having anemia (low red blood cells) can help predict how severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) will be and how often patients might need to go to the hospital. Researchers will follow 83 adult patients with IBD at an Egyptian hospital to see if their anemia status is linked to their disease outcomes. The goal is to gather local knowledge to help doctors better monitor and manage patients.
