Scientists search for hidden causes behind Life-Threatening allergic reactions
NCT ID NCT00719719
Summary
This study aims to discover why some people experience severe, life-threatening allergic reactions called anaphylaxis, especially when no clear cause can be found. Researchers will examine patients aged 13-75 who have had these reactions to food, drugs, insect venom, or from unknown triggers. The main approach involves detailed medical tests, including blood work and bone marrow analysis, to look for underlying genetic or cellular abnormalities that might explain these dangerous episodes.
