Arthritis drug tested in fight against deadly pancreatic cancer
NCT ID NCT02021422
Summary
This small, early-stage study aimed to see if it was safe to add a drug called anakinra (used for rheumatoid arthritis) to standard chemotherapy for people with advanced pancreatic cancer that had spread. The main goal was to check for side effects and safety issues in this new combination. Researchers also collected early information on whether the treatment might affect the immune system or help patients live longer.
