Brain scans reveal hidden clues after hemorrhage
NCT ID NCT01619709
First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at 70 people who had a brain hemorrhage (bleeding in the brain) to see if a special PET scan could help doctors tell whether the bleeding was caused by a protein buildup called amyloid or by high blood pressure. Participants received an injection and a brain scan to measure amyloid levels. The goal was to better understand the cause of the bleeding and how it might affect memory and thinking.
