Nerve rerouting surgery offers hope to amputees for pain relief and better life

NCT ID NCT04658368

Summary

This study aims to understand how a specific nerve surgery, called Targeted Muscle Reinnervation (TMR), affects pain and quality of life for people who have had a major limb amputation. Researchers are asking patients who have had this surgery to complete surveys and optional interviews about their pain levels, daily function, and life satisfaction. The goal is to learn if the surgery helps reduce phantom limb pain and improves patients' ability to use prosthetics and participate in daily activities.
