First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether an injection made from amniotic tissue can reduce pain and improve knee function in people with knee osteoarthritis. About 160 adults with moderate knee arthritis will receive either the amniotic injection, a standard hyaluronic acid injection, or a placebo (saline). Researchers will track pain, mobility, and quality of life for one year to see if the amniotic treatment works better than existing options.
