Could amniotic fluid ease arthritic knees better than steroids?
NCT ID NCT04886960
Summary
This study tested whether an injection of sterile amniotic fluid works better than the standard steroid injection to reduce pain and improve movement in people with knee osteoarthritis. 60 adults with ongoing knee pain received one type of injection without knowing which one. Researchers tracked their pain levels and knee function over a full year to see which treatment provided longer-lasting relief.
